A friend of mine was telling me about this cake. It's called a "Smith Island" cake, and it's the "official" cake of Maryland. It sounded good, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I made it because we have company coming tomorrow, and that seemed like good enough reason! It's an 8 layer cake, but I'm not going to cut into it until tomorrow. I'll post an additional pic of the layers then. It looks nothing like the picture with the recipe, but whatever. It's got ground up peanut butter cups on each layer, so who cares!
